World Autism Awareness Day

Today is World Autism Awareness Day! How will you show your support? As teachers, as parents, and as friends....we all know someone that is effected by Autism.

Two of our very own Freebielicious authors teach students with special needs. I think that we would all agree, these teachers are pretty amazing people.

Erin from Creating and Teaching

and Mandy from A Special Kind of Class

Don't get me wrong...I think all teachers are amazing! I used to teach early childhood BD. The paperwork, the data keeping, the meetings, the formalities of what you can and can not say...can be more than a bit stressful. :-)

Do you teach children with Autism? Do you have a family member diagnosed with Autism?  We would love to hear your story!

Lidia Barbosa, one of our very own freebielicious authors, created these adorable bears! You can download them by clicking on the image below.

I found this website that has some great information! You can click the image below to visit the site.

  1. My grandson has autism...his mom is amazing and she connected with teachers and a school system that has helped him and them so much. I am in awe at how much he has learned. All who have touched his life have been wonderful, from the ladies who are on the bus with him, to the speech therapist and OT people that made home visits before he was three, to the teachers in his preschool. He will do wonderful next year in Kindergarten!

  4. My 7 year old was diagnosed when he was three. We have used gluten/casein free diet and nutritional supplementation to address his massive immune system needs and heavy metal toxicity and he is no longer on the spectrum. It is such a shame more families do not know about this wonderful intervention. It has cured my son and countless others!
