Greetings friends! Next week I am starting my Constitution and US Symbols Units. I am trying really hard to beef up my social studies units this year because I feel like they are always lacking.
After chatting with my blogging bestie, Tammy, I decided to do this family project. For this family project, I will send home this flag with each student
and give each family a week to create their own family flag. They can use
pictures and/or words. I created one of my family as an example for you. I did
this on my computer though so theirs will look a little different. I included family pics, our favorite vacations, places to eat and shop,etc. I think this
is a great way to make a real life connection to what they have learned in school. I also included a parent note in the download for you. I will give my students a week to turn this in.
