Canada Day Freebie

Happy Canada Day to all my international friends.

Canada Day to Canadian's is our "official" start of summer.

What better way to start of the summer and the holiday, than with a freebie.

Make sure your little ones get a head start for Kindergarten or practice their skills heading into grade one by keeping the alphabet front and center in their mind.

Alphabet Zoo {ABC Chart}

My entire K team will be using an "Alphabet Zoo" theme next year.  There is an animal for each letter of the alphabet. Create an action to go with each letter when you introduce it. It gives your students an easy and fun way to remember letter sounds.

Today you can grab the Alphabet Zoo from A to Z {ABC Chart} for FREE! This chart is perfect for your guided reading groups, writing folders, or to place in stations!

Are you Ready for Valentine's Day?

I can't believe that it's almost February.   It's such a busy month.  There's 100th day and Valentines day.  We also have Scientist in the School coming at the beginning of the month.  Are you ready?

My calendar numbers were sorely in need of a remake for month.  You can snag these cute love bug numbers by clicking on the picture below.  You can also make two copies and use them in a memory game.

I also updated my alphabet matching game.  Match the lower-case owl to the upper-case hearts.  You can also make two copies of these and just match the owls to the same owls and the hearts to the hearts.  For students that know their letters, have them put the owls and hearts in order.  Grab this for free by clicking on the picture below.

Applicious Freebie!

Hi freebie friends! We've been working hard on letter sounds in kindergarten this month. I found this really cute letter sound poem for the fall and had to make it for my class. My kiddos just ate it right up!

After learning how to play it in our small group rotations, we played it again after packing up at the end of the day.

I mentioned on my instagram that this would be posted by the end of the week so I wanted to hold true to that.

Creating & Teaching

Canada Day Freebie

Tomorrow is Canada Day and to celebrate I'm offering a little freebie that's purely Canadian.  Whether you are Canadian or not, these Mountie alphabet cards would be perfect for a literacy center.  Have the children put the alphabet in the correct order or make two copies and play a game of concentration.

FREE Alphabet Sound Chart

Hi friends! I have another great freebie to share with you today. The Daily 5 book study has been filling my head with so many great ideas for how to jump-start instruction next year. As my students first attempt to record words during Work on Writing time, they often need a little extra support to help with letter sounds. This Alphabet Sound Chart is the perfect resource to help them along.

FREE Alphabet Chart

Every year, I give each student in the class a personal copy of the alphabet chart. The charts are all laminated and stored in the students' writing folders so they are always on-hand and ready whenever a child needs some extra support. What I love MOST about this particular alphabet chart is how well is coordinates with so many alphabet resources. The pictures on this chart are the EXACT same images that are used on the alphabet that hangs in my classroom. Children thrive on consistency and displaying the same pictures on the walls of my classroom AND on the alphabet chart will help my struggling students to make more connections and apply letter sound-knowledge faster and more effectively over time.

FREE Alphabet Chart

Stop by the Kinder-Craze blog to get your FREE Alphabet Sound Chart. While you're there, check out my coordinating alphabet resources that could help YOUR students master alphabet recognition and letter sounds in record time.

Letter Formation Freebie

Last year I created a fun Letter Limerick and Poem pack
for capital letters based on the amazing work of Dr. Holly... Dr. Jean's daughter.
Here is what they look like!
Then, you guys asked for a lowercase version.
And Dr. Holly worked hard and created a lowercase set of limericks and poems.
So I got busy and created a matching set of posters.
And all these are perfectly free... no strings attached... grab the download and enjoy!
