Need a quick freebie for St. Patrick's Day? This Color By Number Leprechaun is the perfect way to quickly review color words with your students.

FREE color by number leprechaun from Kinder-Craze

The Color by Number Leprechaun is formatted into half-sheet coloring pages, to help you conserve paper (and I think that's why my students love these pages so much… they are short and sweet!) Make the activity last a bit longer. Add a dice and it becomes a roll and color page!

A Fun Resource for Learning Color Words

I am gearing up to start a two-week color word study in my kindergarten classroom. Each day of the study is dedicated to a specific color. Tomorrow is black day. The entire class is invited to wear something black to school and we will do extensive word work (in an interactive way of course) to help  my students learn to spell "black" quickly and easily.

Kindergarteners always love to know WHEN a special day or activity is coming up, so I created a set of reminder cards for my classroom calendar. These cards clearly display when each featured color day is scheduled for the next two weeks.

Black Cats and Witch's Hats!

I LOVE to sing in the classroom {even if I do have a horrible singing voice} and it really helps my students learn! Here is a fun song to teach in October!

I like to put these word cards in a pocket chart and have my students point to each card as we sing the song!
