Meet Kristin (A Teeny Tiny Teacher)

Hi!  Freebielicious turned one so we thought it would be a good idea for you all to get to know each of us a little better.  Today is my day!

Finally.

:)

I'm Kristin.  I blog over at A Teeny Tiny Teacher.  I feel so lucky to be a part of this collaborative blog with all of these other amazing bloggers.  I am blessed!

I am also one of the (whisper voice) older ladies in this here bunch, and that is why I'm in my 17th year of teaching first grade.  SEVENTEEN YEARS.  I don't see how that is possible, but it's true.  And they have all been in first grade.

This is because I do not like change.

And it could be because I might be a bit of a whackadoodle and a bit of a loony tune, which I refer to as a Loonadoodle, but it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Here I am.
I'm the one in the sunglasses without the weird looking facial complexion.

Some things about me that make me ME:

I have been happily married for 16 years.

We have one fur baby.  She is a girl with a boy name.
So we spelled it with an "ie" which is what you do.
Murphie.

I am a Christian.  I love my church and my small group.
I pray all the time!  I try hard to read my bible, journal, and have some coffee
with the Lord every morning.
I have a twin sister.  I also have a big sister.  And a younger brother.
And my parents have been happily married for 45 years.  Maybe 46.  Could be 47.
I am not good at math.
I love to write.
I love to blog.
I love to look up stuff online that involves curriculum, such as a sequencing activity, or
maybe a writing unit, or a math lesson.  I am a nerd.  Nerdladoodle.
I love wine.  Red or white.  I don't care.
I love to hang out with my family and friends.
I love to talk.
I do not like to go to clubs.
I do not like most vegetables.
My idea of a great evening is getting in my pjs and cozying up with my hubby and Murphie
and a good movie.
Did you think I was going to say book?
Okay, I love to read, too.  A lot.
I am not good at sports.  Not even badmitton.
Another idea of a great evening is going out to dinner with my girlfriends.
I love reality TV.
I also like to go to the movies, but only if the people around me are quiet.
And only if the people around me don't mind me in my pjs.
Oh, and I am short.
Short.
Four Feet Eleven Inches.
Don't listen to anyone who says I must be 4 feet 10 because they are LYING.

Here's my little freebie for you.  My kids LOVE Roll the Dice games and these are perfect for the upcoming holidays.  Each student needs two dice, or you could have partners work together.  They add the dice, find the number, and draw whatever the code says!  FUN!

Caution:  Use foam dice or you may get a headache.  A Teeny Tiny Teacher is not responsible nor liable.

  8. I love these... Thank you! My firsties do a hockey roll. They roll their dice on a piece of light blue felt and roll into one hand that is cupped on the side of the felt like a shield. Quieter and no run away dice :)
