I am so excited to be here posting on Freebielicious. I'm Amanda from the blog A Special Kind of Class. I teach a class of kindergarten children with severe speech and/or physical disabilities.
I love the book "Dog's Colourful Day" by Emma Dodd. It's about a dog that gets messy with different colours as he goes about his day. We have been reading it everyday so that the children gain familiarity with the story. We are working on colours and numbers.
On the second day, as we read the story, I had the children colour in a spot on Dog, the correct colour.
When he was all coloured in, we went over each of the colours in the correct order.
Dog was very colourful when we had finished.
Here is the worksheet if you would like to use it with your children.
You can find more ideas for the book "Dog's Colourful Day" on my blog. I hope you will come and visit me.
Such a cute way to reinforce colors!! Love it!!
